Wedding Photographer Stockport
As a wedding photographer who has lived on both sides of Stockport, firstly on the outskirts of Manchester and now in the countryside in between Stockport and Buxton I am very familiar with the area and know some fantastic locations to photograph couples’ weddings.
Professional Wedding Photography Stockport
Stockport Town Hall is one of my favourite buildings in Greater
Manchester. It is a large white Grade 2 listed building with some
gorgeous places inside to have your wedding ceremony.
There is a beautiful large room with a vaulted ceiling as well as
a stunning ornate staircase filled with marble which is a
fantastic place to have your wedding photographs taken. I love
photographing a couple on a grand staircase, especially one that
has natural light spilling through and ornate decorations
throughout.
The front of Stockport Town Hall, even though it is on a busy road
has some beautiful steps and columns which are a joy to have your
wedding photographs taken around. Even Stockport Town centre has
some quirky alleyways and areas to get some cool street style
wedding photography. Some of my favourite photos are when I take
my couple on a wander through a city centre and take some fun,
natural streetstyle photos.
I try and make the photos not staged and just follow you around
and capture you having some lovely alone time together. We can
even stop for a drink in your favourite café, bar or pub as we
walk around the streets.

Since I moved out of Manchester to the borders of Cheshire and
Derbyshire, I find myself in Stockport a lot of the time. It is
the closest large town to where I live now and is much easier to
go shopping and socialising in Stockport than into the centre of
Manchester.
When I manage the fashion studio in Manchester, I drive through
Stockport so I find it Is often on my radar of somewhere great to
shoot. Stockport is an up and coming place and there are lots of
great places to have a wedding there.
The most recent wedding I photographed in Stockport was that of
Daisy and Charlie. They got married at a beautiful church in
Didsbury and then we all got into our cars and met at a park in
Heaton Moor to get some great shots outside then their reception
was at Village Point in Heaton Moor.
This is a fantastic place to have your wedding reception. The main
room has high ceilings and beautiful chandeliers and really is a
blank canvas for you to put your own stamp on. I love the location
next to the Elizabethan in the heart of Heaton Moor and opposite
the beautiful Victorian shopping arcade. I used to live in
Levenshulme right on the border of Manchester and Stockport so I
feel so familiar in this area and really enjoy photographing
weddings around South Manchester and Stockport.
Bramhall Hall is another fantastic wedding location in Stockport.
This stunning Tudor House provides a gorgeous backdrop for a
wedding that has a country feel but is also very close to the
centre of Manchester.
The buildings are full of character and the black and white timber
frame dates back to the 14th Century so it is the perfect place
for a wedding if you love history and want to have your wedding
photographs somewhere memorable.
One of my favourite couples Alex and Teresia got married in Hazel
Grove at a local school there as they are both teachers. We then
went to Bramhall Hall to take some beautiful pictures and shoot
some video for this wonderful couple as the sun was going down.

Stockport is situated right on the edge of Manchester but close to
so many beautiful locations with stunning countryside right on the
edge of Cheshire and Derbyshire.
It would be the ideal place to have an elopement wedding. Getting
the legal part of the wedding conducted in Stockport Town Hall and
the heading out to somewhere in the Peak District to get some epic
wedding photos with dramatic landscapes. Or alternatively if you
wanted some cool urban city photos we could travel into
Manchester.
Some of my favourite city backdrops for wedding photography are
the colourful graffiti walls in the Northern Quarter or the
beautiful architecture around Manchester Library. That’s the good
thing about Stockport, it’s in a great location to explore
fantastic locations nearby which will appeal to any couples
looking for creative wedding photography.
If you’re looking for a quirky venue for your wedding Stockport
Plaza is an excellent choice. The 1920s style Art Deco cinema is
full of fantastic features and great lighting which would make
your wedding photos really stand out. If you are looking to get
married in Stockport there really is something for everyone and as
someone who lives in the area with really great knowledge of
Stockport and the surrounding areas I would love to be your
wedding photographer.
