The Most Beautiful Wedding Venues in Manchester & Cheshire: A Photographer’s Guide
Choosing your wedding venue is one of the most exciting (and
sometimes overwhelming!) parts of wedding planning. With so many
stunning locations in Manchester and Cheshire, it can be difficult
to know where to start.
As a professional wedding photographer who has worked for over 15
years across the North West, I’ve had the privilege of capturing
love stories in some of the region’s most beautiful spaces. Here
are my top picks for venues that not only create unforgettable
memories but also look incredible in your wedding photographs.
King Street Townhouse, Manchester
For couples dreaming of a city wedding with a touch of luxury,
King Street Townhouse is hard to beat. With its elegant interiors,
rooftop terrace overlooking Manchester’s skyline, and intimate
atmosphere, it’s a venue that truly shines in
photographs—especially at sunset. Once Manchester Town Hall has
been unveiled the views will be even more spectacular! I
especially love wandering the streets round the King Street Town
House to capture those perfect city moments.
The Castlefield Rooms, Manchester
If you love industrial chic with a romantic twist, Castlefield is
perfect. Exposed brickwork, canal-side views, and a relaxed
atmosphere make it ideal for modern couples who want a stylish
city wedding. I particularly love the architecture and urban,
industrial vibe.
Heaton House Farm, Cheshire
For those looking for a rustic countryside vibe, Heaton House Farm
offers breathtaking views of the Cheshire countryside combined
with versatile spaces. From barns to elegant marquees, this venue
is a dream for capturing golden hour portraits. The views here are
just sensational and one of my favourites.
Stock Farm, Cheshire
This charming working farm turned wedding venue is all about
laid-back romance. With open fields, rustic barns, and twinkling
fairy lights, it’s perfect for couples who want a relaxed,
nature-inspired celebration. My favourite wedding here it actually
snowed which gave it the perfect winter wonderland feel.
Nunsmere Hall, Cheshire
A quintessential English country house surrounded by woodland and
a serene lake, Nunsmere Hall is the definition of elegance. It’s
particularly stunning for LGBTQ+ weddings, offering both grandeur
and privacy for couples wanting something truly special. Lake
shots here are my favourite.
Abbeywood Estate, Cheshire
Nestled on the edge of Delamere Forest, Abbeywood Estate is a
truly romantic wedding venue surrounded by botanical gardens and
woodlands. It’s perfect for couples who love nature and want a
magical backdrop for their wedding photographs. From glasshouses
filled with light to landscaped gardens, Abbeywood provides
stunning settings for portraits at every turn. This is a true
hidden gem and one of my favourite venues in Cheshire.
Why Your Venue Choice Matters for Photography
Your venue sets the stage for your wedding photographs. From the
lighting and backgrounds to the atmosphere, the right venue
enhances every moment I capture. Whether you prefer city chic in
Manchester or countryside charm in Cheshire, I work with the
unique qualities of your chosen venue to tell your love story
beautifully.

every love story. Whether you’re planning a big celebration or an
intimate wedding in Manchester or Cheshire, I’ll make sure your
memories are preserved in a way that feels authentic and timeless.
