Last weekend I continued my work for the BBC photographing Pudsey the Bear for Children in Need at Gung Ho! 5km seriously fun run at Heaton Park in Manchester. It was a great job and lots of fun but the weather was incredibly testing. One minute it was blue skies and bright sunshine, the next it was hail, sleet and snow. It was difficult from a lighting and exposure point of view but also trying to keep my equipment protected. Without any waterproof casings I had two cameras exposed to side ways rain and snow. Luckily I had someone on had with an umbrella who was helping try and protect me and my equipment while I was trying to get the shots I needed. The obstacles looked like great fun and although the weather decided to throw all sorts of challenges at us everyone who took part had a great time and put their heart and soul into it. If I hadn’t been 7 months pregnant I would loved to have joined in.
